Killing everyone would’ve been easier, but the true test of skill is getting by unnoticed. Nothing could beat the adrenaline rush I got while hiding in the shadows while a guard passed by just inches away. It was at that point that I realized I much more enjoy being sneaky than the run-&-gun type. For that particular mission, the bonus came from not killing any of the guards. The reason the memory is so vivid to me is because I always went for the bonuses, which typically involved following a specific order. My best moment in that game was during the mission to assassinate Valen Dreth, the annoying Dunmer who taunts you at the beginning of the game. I’m actually surprised I didn’t finish this storyline first, because the Dark Brotherhood was my favorite part of Oblivion. I've used him night and day to kill her, so my best bet is, when using other methods of killing her (sword / dagger / wand / magic / arrows) people are getting a split second 'seen' while doing it, or a script isn't properly firing off when using alternate methods.Over the weekend I finished the Dark Brotherhood storyline. ![]() I kept replaying and replaying till I tried the gargoyle and was able to get the bonus, the gargoyle hasn't failed me once. still the same though no bonus, not once did i get a bonus using arrows. I've killed her from the balcony itself without getting a bounty hiding behind her husband. Sometimes in doing this i've been caught, sometimes I haven't, seems to be a 50-50 to if it triggers a bounty or not when you hop down on to the balcony. Yeah i've even hopped down with a character and looted her body then ran into the church and escaped through there. After the murder, Veezara showed up and I was able to casually walk out of Solitude with no problem.īut the gargoyle story you just told made me wish I did it that way instead, that sounds really cool. I was ducking behind a decorative bush next to the door that faces the balcony directly, a couple of feet away from the bored little kid in the back. I killed her with an arrow, hiding in the most stupid location imaginable, and nobody ever saw me. Go up the stairs to the right, and through the door. To get to this balcony, go into the temple. One way to kill her is to get to the wall above the balcony, and push a loose Gargoyle statue when Vittoria makes her address. Assassinate her while she speaks to earn the bonus reward. She will stand from the seats with her husband,, and enter a door in the portcullis to reach the balcony, where she will begin speaking to the audience. If you have a low skill then you should definitely use these.Īlternatively, for the bonus reward, you can wait for Vittoria to begin speaking. It is best to use these freebies now to be sure the bride is dead on the spot. She is easily killed with a single sneak attack from the magic bow you are given. You can simply shoot the bride dead from this spot instantly. ![]() On the ledge are six arrows, an and a unique magical bow. If you take the door to the north-west of the temple entrance, you will end up on ledge just above.
